( Jean Paul Goude ) |

Jean Paul Goude Exhibition in Paris: the place to have a look at !
As a chance in life, you will always have masters above you, whatever you are doing and no matter how well you are doing it.
Jean Paul Goude is definitely a master. He has marked, shocked, and inspired a whole generation of creative professionals with his work.
From the “never seen before “ adverts played on tv during the 90’s ( Coco Chanel, Perrier, Guerlain ), to the Galleries Lafayette ad campaign ( since 2001), he brought a new vision of advertising.
Goude is like a punch in the face, but without the pain actually.
As a brief introduction, Jean Paul Goude is born in a small town in France called Saint Mandé in 1940. After studying art and illustration, he worked for the Printemps store chain and then became the Artistic Director of the famous New York magazine Esquire during ten years. Since then, he has played with fashion, colours, models and has created some of the most iconic photographic concepts of the century.
One funny fact about Goude is his capacity to focus his effort exclusively on his projects. In 1989, Goude was asked by the French President Mitterrand to organise a massive procession celebrating the bicentenary of the French Révolution on the Champs Elysees. Invited to introduce his ideas to the board of ministers, he came with a heavy sketch book wearing a red hoodie, blue jeans and trainers, just like a student out of school! Forget the protocol, casual forever !
This exhibition is not only an incredible opportunity to get closer to the artist’s world but also to find inspiration. Jean-Paul Goude has lived his passion through his art. Called the “Goudmalion”, this exhibition is a tribute to the Woman from the beginning to the end. As soon as you walk in, you face this massive black dress set up on a large steel structure that supports the whole installation.
If some how you feel creative, do not hesitate to start your own art. That’s a good way discover yourself and don’t worry about the technique, passion will teach you how.
